May 5, 2020 is #GivingTuesdayNow, a new global day of giving and unity in response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.

To educate the community about their mission, the Outer Banks Relief Foundation released a video detailing the types of assistance they provide.

About 100 Outer Banks families are made vulnerable each year by medical challenges and seek assistance from the Relief Foundation to keep a roof over their heads, a car running, and food on the table.

“Although the Beach Food Pantry, Interfaith Community Outreach and other groups are on the front line of today’s economic crisis and need our support, every nonprofit that adds value to our community is facing revenue loss,” says Relief Foundation executive director Patty McKenna.
